The Greene County farmers market and local food producers will have an organizing meeting Tuesday, April 12, at 5 pm at the Jefferson public library. Residents in Greene County and the surrounding area who are interested in selling products at this season’s market are encouraged to attend.
Local foods are a fast-growing segment of food sales. Customers are looking for meats, eggs, vegetables, fruits, baked goods, and value-added products that they can purchase directly from the farmer. Crafters who create their own items are also encouraged to sell at the market and attend this meeting.
The market will run Tuesdays from 4 to 6:30 pm beginning June 7. For more information, visit our Facebook page or contact Patti Edwardson at 515-370-3919.
